Product Review – Maybelline color show Go Graffiti

If you are a sucker for nail art, you will surely love these newly launched ‘Color show Go Graffiti’ collection of nail paints by Maybelline. For me, it’s the DIY factor which I love the most. While getting your nails done has its own charm, these paints makes it easy to experiment with designs and colors from the comfort of your home, not to mention its comparatively cheaper on your wallet.

The Designs

Here are the nine shades/designs that have been launched. It’s great that they have launched three shades which can be layered over any color. you can mix and match them with the color of your choice and create personalized designs. They could also be worn on well buffed nails as a transparent coat to work.. Very chic and subtle.

Blue Beats
Blue Beats
  • Blue Beats- Specks of blue (hexagons and circles) in black. This is ideal for a punk chic look.
Blueberry Bombshell
Blueberry Bombshell
  • Blueberry Bombshell- Miniature green hexagons on sky blue. This is very summery with the two gorgeous shades of pastels in a bottle.
Lucky Lavender
Lucky Lavender
  • Lucky Lavender- Specks of gold yellow on lavender. Very cute.
Red Splatter
Red Splatter
  • Red Splatter- Red and black. if you want to go bold, this is your best bet.
Unmellow Yellow
Unmellow Yellow
  • Unmellow Yellow- This is not my style and is my least favorite of the lot.
Green Graffiti
Green Graffiti
  • Green Graffiti- Specks of blue and peach on green. I like the multi-color hue and the peach works.

Now comes the three of my favorite designs. I am in love with all of them and couldn’t resist buying them. They are transparent with miniature colored designs. You can wear it without any base and they will still look pretty.

pop goes my heart
Pop goes my heart
  • Pop goes my heart- It has very pretty hearts and red dots. Very cute.
Flower power
Flower power
  • Flower Power- The floral trend is quite hot right now so what better way to style it than having small white flowers on your nails. I layered this on a hot pink shade. You can position the flowers on your nails with the help of a brush or a pair of tweezers for creating a pattern.

Nail artWhat I like:

  • Convenience of nail art from home
  • The three transparent designs which are cute and great for experimentation
  • Long lasting and the flowers/hearts/dots doesn’t get washed off
  • Very Pretty and summery

What I don’t like:

  • Could have got some more shapes apart from dots and hexagons
  • Sometimes difficult to achieve an even look throughout
  • Need to have more colors

We are loving ‘Charm story’ by Silvostyle

As my blog name suggests, I love charm bracelets. They are ultra feminine and delicate and holds a different meaning for everyone. Each charm tells a story which makes it so much fun. Hence its important to custom make it so that it defines the ‘real you’. Keeping this in mind, Silvostyle has launched a new jewellery line called “Links of Life”, where each charm is of special emotional significance to the person.  ‘Links of Life’ as the name suggests is all about keeping your life’s bitter-sweet life experiences, moments, symbolizing that they stay with you forever.

What’s not to love about these?

The charm bracelets are exquisite and you can add multiple personal decorative charms pendants which signify personal memories from your life.  You can choose, combine and create these charms according to their mood and outfit.  Charms ranging from mini handbags to iconic structures like the Eiffel tower, made in Murano glass & cubic zirconia.  They can also be added to your bracelet, chain, ring or earrings.

Food is one of the best things about summer. The sunshine makes us so much more active that we don’t have to feel guilty about all of the extra calories that we intake. Product Review- Vanilla Brulee Shimmer lotion by Body Shop

Price: INR 895

Packaging: It’s a light weight plastic bottle with the nude shimmer visible from outside. It has a hand pump for easy usage and handling. Twisting the pump opens and closes the bottle.

Quantity: 250 ml

My experience:

I love sparkle in my life and so when I came across this shimmer lotion, I knew I had to have it. When I first laid my eyes on it, it reminded me of Christmas and vanilla latte since its smells of rich vanilla with a hint of cocoa.. Absolutely sinful I would say. The scent is quite strong, not overpowering which is a good thing and lasts for a good 3-4 hours. If you are fond of vanilla, then you will surely love this.

The product has a medium consistency, not too thin or thick and is easily absorbed in the skin. It has a nude color with light shimmer which on application settles on the skin and gives it a pearly glow. The best part of it is that once applied you will not look like a disco ball which is always a worry, when you are experimenting with shimmer.

However, if less is more for you, then you can take a drop of your regular body butter/moisturizer and mix a drop of the shimmer lotion. This will ensure that your skin isn’t too shimmery. The moisturizer part of it is great and leaves your skin soft. Also be sure not to use it on the face since it won’t sit well; stick to application on the body. According to me, the product is not really great for day use, since the sun makes those tiny shimmer particles very prominent. It’s a best fit for cocktail parties and glamorous night outs.

What I like:

  • The rich vanilla scent which is delicious
  • The light delicate shimmery sheen that it provides
  • Makes skin very soft
  • Its limited edition and I like to collect; perfect fit
  • Use of natural ingredients so no harsh chemicals

What I don’t like:

  • Not for daily use
  • Little on the expensive side
  • Available only in one size (250ml).

Rating: 4.5/5

Overall, it’s a great addition to your beauty bag because variety is the spice of life. Moreover, it’s subtle and less shiny than some of the other products that are available. Buy it to remind yourself that everyday can be Christmas.
